As an educator (and Veteran) I take time today to think, honor, and pray for those soldiers and military personnel (past, present, and future) who have given of themselves in order to protect and preserve the American freedoms and values (which, as citizens, we often take for granted … most notably the freedom of education).
Thank you, Veterans (wherever you may be) for your daily sacrifices; help us (as American citizens) to remember your dedication and sacrifices and to not take lightly those freedoms which you have courageously given your life to defend. You are greatly appreciated. –Allen L.
"Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs."
--Ralph Waldo Emerson
